Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Design and implement local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and virtual private networks (VPNs).
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network connectivity and availability.
- Implement network security measures, including firewalls, entry detection systems, and access control policies.
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades and security patches.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to plan and implement network infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for network-related issues.
- Conduct network performance tests and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Computer Network Technician or in a similar role.

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members and end-users.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.

- Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to co-ordinate access and use of computer networks
- Load computer tapes and disks, install software, printer paper and forms
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- Implement data, software and hardware security procedures
- Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
- Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
