Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Gondar 2023
This scholarship program is divided into two parts: the undergraduate program and the graduate programme.
The Undergraduate Program is a scholarship program established to provide awards for the Ethiopian students who are willing to pursue their undergraduate academic program at the University of Gondar. This program covers both academic and non-academic costs of scholars while they pursue their studies in various fields of studies. It is an open opportunity for intellectual and skillful students to support them financially and help their dreams come true.
The Graduate Scholars Program is aimed at helping students achieve transformational and leadership skills and demonstrate high professional and scholarly competencies to influence global, regional, national and local socioeconomic development trends.
Eligibility Criteria
To become eligible for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program applicants must meet the following requirement:
- Applicants must be from the eligible East African countries (Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti and South Sudan) enrolled in a full-time program at the University.
- Candidates for the undergraduate scholarship must be Ethiopian youths studying at the University.
- Candidates must be enrolled in the eligible courses for the different categories of scholarships.
