The Killam Doctoral Scholarships Program is open to outstanding doctoral students who wish to take their Postgraduate program at the University of British Columbia. The main objective of this program is to support higher education and provide research studies which are to be taken at five universities in Canada and the Canada Council for the Arts.
In the Affiliated Fellowships competition, about 15-20 scholarship awards are taken up each year by top doctoral candidates.

Eligibility Criteria
To become eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following requirement;
- Applicants must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral study as of the start date of the scholarship.
- Applicants for the 2023-2024 competition must have completed no more than 24 months of doctoral study as of 1 September 2023.

- It covers payment of $30,000 per annum for two years and additional $2,000 allowance for research-related travel costs.
